Burn Calories

A spinning workout of 45 minutes may allow you to burn 500-700+ calories, which is a huge amount when compared to other types of workout. The amount of calories you burn will depend on the intensity of the workout. This will be down to your instructor and you giving it all you got. At Goldstone Fitness, our Spinzone Studio encourages you to go that extra mile – with neon lighting, surround sound and a darkened, non-judgmental room - giving you the comfort and confidence to push yourself.

Build Muscle Tone

Spinning will help you build muscle tone. The class will focus on the core muscles, as well as the glutes and thighs. You can increase and decrease the tension of the bike, so as to simulate riding up and down a hill. While you pedal, you will work your thighs and calves. If you maintain the correct position on the bike, you will also work on your abdominal muscles. 

Increased Cardio Endurance

If you opt for regular spinning classes, you will build increased cardio endurance. Basically, the more you put in – the more you get out!

Low Impact Exercise

A spinning workout is a low impact exercise. This means that it won't put pressure on knees and joints, as other aerobic or running exercises can do. The workout is also recommended for people that suffer from arthritis.

Relieve Stress

Exercise is known to relieve stress. However, a spinning class can be a more efficient stress reliever than most types of exercise. This is due to the fact that the workout is intensive and extremely motivating, as the music and instructor help you push through the barriers you would normally give up on if training alone.

Can Be Done Year Round

There is no excuse for you to skip your work-out due to bad weather as this is an indoor class.

I won’t lie to you, your first spin class will be a little tough – after all this is exercise. However, beginners are always encouraged to go at their own pace and to only do what they can. Once you have a few classes under your belt and your fitness and stamina improve – there will be no stopping you!
